Indian kitchens see more oil in a week than most kitchens do in a month. Grease bonds to metal and tile as it cools, then bakes on with each new session. Whitix Power Cleaner uses an alkaline degreaser system to break that bond — safely, and without scrubbing your hands raw.
Step 1 — Ventilate and gear up
Open the window, switch on the exhaust, and put on rubber gloves. Power Cleaner is a strong alkali; it's tough on grease and rough on bare skin.
Step 2 — Chimney filters (weekly)
Lift out the baffle filters. Lay them in a wide tray, spray Whitix Power Cleaner generously on both sides, and leave for 15 minutes. Pour boiling water over them — the grease will lift as a brown film. Rinse and dry. Do this weekly and the chimney motor lasts years longer.
Step 3 — Hob and burner grates
Spray Power Cleaner on the cooled hob, avoiding the burner heads. Wait 3 minutes. Wipe with a damp cloth. For burner grates, soak in a Power Cleaner solution (1:5 with water) for 20 minutes, then scrub with a stiff nylon brush.
Pro tip
Never mix Power Cleaner with bleach, acid-based bathroom cleaners or ammonia glass sprays. Alkali plus acid produces harmful fumes.
Step 4 — Backsplash tiles and cabinet fronts
Spray, wait 2 minutes, wipe top-to-bottom with a microfibre cloth. For sticky old grease, apply undiluted, cover with a paper towel to hold contact, then wipe.
Step 5 — The final rinse
Always finish with a plain-water wipe. Any degreaser residue attracts fresh dust and grease faster than a clean surface, so the rinse pass is what makes the shine last.
