Streaks aren't a cleaner problem — they're a technique problem. With the right product and three small changes, you can wipe any glass surface once and walk away.
Why streaks happen
Streaks are what's left behind when the cleaning solution evaporates unevenly — usually because you used too much liquid, wiped with a fabric that sheds fibres (cotton rag, kitchen tissue), or cleaned in direct sunlight so the spray dried before you could buff.
The Whitix 3-spray method
Spray Whitix Glass Cleaner in a light Z-pattern across the glass — three passes, not ten. The ammonia-free formula breaks down oils and dust film without leaving a residue.
Wipe with the right cloth
Use a folded microfibre cloth (never paper towels or old T-shirts). Wipe top-to-bottom in overlapping strokes. Then flip to the dry side of the cloth and buff in horizontal strokes. Two-direction wiping is what makes the streaks disappear.
Pro tip
For very greasy kitchen glass, spray once, wait 20 seconds for the cleaner to lift the grease, then wipe. Patience beats scrubbing every time.
Where else to use it
Bathroom mirrors, glass shower doors, glass dining tables, stainless steel appliances, chrome taps, induction cooktops, and even the outside of a car windshield. Anywhere you want a shiny, streak-free finish.
The one thing not to do
Never clean glass in direct sunlight. The cleaner flash-dries before you can wipe, locking streaks in. Move to shade or wait for cloud cover.
